Meet Our Team!

Jeanne & Dick Morrison bought Nuts & Bolts back in 1987—and the rest is history! Jeanne jumped in right away, while Dick wrapped up his time in electrical distribution before joining in 1988. Jeanne is the original problem-solver, go-getter, and all-around backbone of NBI. Whether doing inventory by hand in the ‘80s or leading Bible studies, she’s the gold standard of hard work and heart.

Josh rolled in back in 1994, starting in—you guessed it—the warehouse. He’s done a little bit of everything since, but today he’s all about relationships: with our team, and with our global suppliers (especially in Asia). His favorite phrase? “We have customers, but our focus will always be on our partnerships.

Hannah arrived in 2011 and jumped into just about every role before owning the accounts receivable department. She’s also our birthday queen and treat bringer. Her work buddy? A ferret named Panda. Yes, really.

Mark hopped in during 2006, taking over from the legendary Edith Hast. He does it all—payroll, HR, maintenance calls—and still manages to get it all done. Only thing we can roast him for? Being a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Mike became part of the family in 2007. He started in the warehouse and now leads it with calm, cool efficiency. With 22 people under his watch, Mike keeps everything running smoothly. Bonus: he’s our grill master and brings our mascot, Sammy, to work nearly every day.

Dennis came on in 2016 and wears all the hats—billing, certs, sales, warehouse, you name it. His energy is infectious, and his smile is the first thing you’ll see when you walk through our doors. Dennis = instant good mood.

Fred joined in 2009 with major industry chops. When he became Sales Manager in 2020, NBI saw two straight years of 20% growth. He’s a prankster, a birthday balloon connoisseur, and the kind of guy who makes work feel like a party (with solid sales numbers, of course).

JB came on board in 2003 and has done everything from receiving to sales to quality control. He’s our Nebraska road warrior, visiting clients in Lindsay, West Point & Norfolk weekly. Oh, and if you’re on social media, you’ve probably seen him—@JB Thenutsandboltsguy is kind of a big deal.

Mitch joined us in 2014 and brought decades of experience and new business opportunities. He’s opened more doors for NBI than we can count and has helped build some of our best partnerships. MVP status for sure.

Ken signed on in 2015 and immediately jumped into action. He’s not afraid to walk onto job sites, show up on Saturdays, and get the job done—whatever it takes. He’s a jobsite hero with big distributor experience and even bigger dedication.

Marc has been part of the squad since 1997. He worked his way from warehouse to outside sales to becoming the longest-standing inside salesperson on the team. Honest, dependable, and full of good vibes—we’re not letting Marc go until he’s ready to ride off into retirement (and hopefully not for a long while).

Alex, aka Mr. Reliable, started in 1998. He’s the quiet force on our inside sales team—super smart, steady, and always prepared. He’s been with us longer than most people stay in a zip code, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Clint joined in 2005 and brings the sunshine wherever he goes. He’s part of our inside sales crew and a fan favorite with clients. It’s not unusual for customers to call just to say how awesome Clint is. (We agree.)

Pat joined in 1990 and has basically seen it all. From fax machines to cloud software, he’s evolved with the industry and now rocks the role of purchasing manager. He started in the warehouse but quickly moved into inside sales with the transition to the purchasing department being a natural next step. Pat’s value is difficult to quantify but he is indeed a trust part of the NBI family.

Nick, since 2014, went from warehouse to purchasing and is now our go-to guy for finding the impossible-to-find. He once pulled 50 orders in a single day—still an NBI record. Basically, he’s the fastener world’s Indiana Jones.

Adam (2015) took inventory control to a whole new level. He reorganized our warehouse for max efficiency, optimized everything, and still handles certs and material test reports. Basically, he’s a logistics wizard with a barcode scanner.

Charles, part of the team since 2019, leads our receiving department like a zen master. Three shipping containers show up in one day? No problem. He’s also Mike’s right-hand man and helps manage VMI deliveries. Calm, cool, and crushing it.

Joey, with us since 2004, runs the kitting department like a boss. He’s trained countless team members and holds the title of Spicy Food Champion thanks to challenges like the Paqui One Chip and the Death Nut. Spoiler: he’s undefeated.

John joined us in 2024, bringing a wealth of quality control experience (like building tractors with Ford New Holland!). Though he’s semi-retired, he’s played a huge role in shaping our quality and compliance department. Smart, positive, and always ready to tweak things for the better.

Jerry Malik III joined in 2018 and is now key to our quality control department. He started by handling everything for one of our biggest clients, then transitioned to inspecting and testing hardware found in equipment across the U.S. and around the world. Talk about leveling up.

Sammy joined our family in 2023 and has been keeping morale high in the office ever since! As our team mascot, Sammy gets paid in treats and lots of love. He seems happy with the arrangement.
